Leaving Nike? Testing Next-Gen Mercurials? Kyle Walker Trains in Blackout Boots
Manchester City right back Kyle Walker was pictured wearing blacked-out football boots in training yesterday, sparking speculation on what it was all about.
Following the recent news that the next generation of the Nike Mercurial, Vapor 13 and Superfly 7, would drop as soon as in June 2019, our follower Nick suggested that Walker might have been testing a prototype of the upcoming Vapors.
While this is entirely possible, we are unable to make out major differences to the Vapor 12, mostly due to the low quality of the pictures. They definitely are Mercurial Vapors, though.
Another possible reason for Walker to wear blackouts could be that he might switch over to another brand. His teammate David Silva recently joined Puma and the brand, which will produce City's kits from next season, already picked up many Borussia Dortmund players back when it took over from Nike at the German club.
