Real Madrid Uses Home Kit Away At Betis For First Time Since Almost 60 Years

Real Betis faced Real Madrid on Sunday night. Both teams played with their traditional home kits, something that is usually nothing unusual. Spanish newspaper Marca, however now revealed that it was the first time since almost 60 years that Real Madrid used their home kit away at Betis.

Real Madrid Uses Home Kit Away Against Betis For First Time Since December 18 1960

The main reason for Real Madrid to be able to wear their all-white home kit is that Real Betis kit features more green than some of their kits before, especially with the green shorts now being worn.

According to Marca, Real Madrid played in white away to the Andalusian side for the last time on December 18, 1960 - but even then they were playing in blue shorts.

For Betis, however, it is nothing unusual to wear their home kit away against Real Madrid. They combined it with black shorts in the past few years.
