The City Football Group (including Manchester City & 6 other teams) last week announced announced a 10 year, £65 million per year kit deal with Puma. This means that Manchester City have secured the second-most lucrative kit deal in the English Premier League, only behind city rivals Manchester United.
“It is a historic day for us,” Soriano said. “What we are doing has not been done before. It is an unprecedented partnership. We now have seven clubs in five continents. We needed a partner that can move fast with us.”
Biggest Kit Maker Deals
The ranking by Daily Mail reveals that Manchester City's Puma kit deal is the fourth lucrative worldwide. Spanish giants FC Barcelona and Real Madrid lead the ranking. Behind the two Spanish clubs, there are four Premier League teams (Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal & Chelsea).
Liverpool's New Balance kit deal is slightly less worth than Bayern München's (around 40 million GBP). Spurs' Nike contract is worth 30 million GBP / season (2017-2033).
