Malmö 2019 Home, Away & Third Kits Released
Swedish club Malmö today launched their new 2019 home, away and third kits, which are made by Puma and feature VW as principal sponsor.
The new Malmö 2019 home kit is the most interesting out of the bunch, drawing inspiration from the kit worn in the 1979 European Cup final, which was lost against Nottingham Forest.
"It will be an honor to play in a match jersey that celebrates our successful history. It is stylish and transmits a winning mentality. In addition, it is comfortable and has a good fit," commented club captain Markus Rosenberg.
Malmö 2019 Home Kit
The Malmö 2019 home shirt is sky blue with white accents, a traditional collar and a white stripe running down either sleeve.
Malmö 2019 Away Kit
The Malmö 2019 away shirt is dark blue, which is a color first used in 2014 after consulting amongst MFF supporters.
Malmö 2019 Third Kit
Malmö's 2019 third jersey is wine red, based on the same template as the away. The color choice is a nod to the kit worn when Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his unforgettable goal against Djurgårdens IF at Stockholms Stadion 2001. The 2001 away was the last of club to be wine red.
"It is amazingly exciting that this year we are launching three new shirts. Extra fun is that this year's home jersey is a tribute to 1979 and part of the 40th anniversary. We have developed the shirts in close cooperation with Malmö FF and the players. 1979, uniqueness and fit have been key words," said Rutger Hagstad, marketing manager at PUMA Nordic.
