Premier League To Introduce New Sleeve Badge For Next Season?
The English Premier League will likely get a new sleeve badge from the 2019-2020 season, it has been revealed. This info follows last November's news that all official Premier League names, numbers and sleeve badges will be produced by a new supplier from 2019/20.
Premier League Announce New Names, Numbers & Sleeve Badge Supplier
In November 2018, the Premier League announced that they signed a new official supplier for names, numbers and sleeve badges with global sportswear branding and labeling manufacturer Avery Dennison. From the 2019-20 season, Avery Dennison will print and produce all official Premier League names, numbers and sleeve badges. Avery Dennison replaces long-term EPL partner Sporting iD.
Avery Dennison is set to produce the 15 million Premier League names, numbers and sleeve badges each year at a specialist low-carbon facility in western Norway.
"Avery Dennison is clearly a company with a track record in innovation," Richard Masters, Premier League Managing Director, said. "We were impressed with their plans both in the UK and globally and are looking forward to working with them from next season."
After August 31st 2019, all official Premier League name and number products will need to be sourced via the new licensee.
Premier League Numbers To Keep Design + New Sleeve Badge Design Not Confirmed Yet
According to Sporting iD's press release, there will be no style change for the 2019/20 Premier League season, although a new sleeve badge will launch from June 1st. This could either mean that we will see an all-new sleeve badge or just a sleeve badge with a new material.
Customers should be aware that Sporting iD will continue to be the sole supplier of all official Premier League names, numbers, and sleeve badges until May 31st 2019. After this date, Sporting iD will still be able to supply official product for a 3 month duration, until the license exit period concludes on August 31st 2019.
The new sleeve badge is expected to be available to purchase from June 1 2019.

Adidas Teases Predator 1994 to 2026 World Cup Connection
Adidas has officially teased a connection between the original 1994 Predator boot and the upcoming 2026 World Cup. In a recent social media update, the brand highlighted the legacy of the iconic Predator silo, which was initially launched for the 1994 tournament hosted in the USA.
With the 2026 World Cup set to be co-hosted by the USA, Mexico, and Canada, Adidas is celebrating this 32-year journey as a full-circle moment for the boot. The brand noted that the Predator was made for the 1994 World Cup, and the tournament made the boot a legend. By stating that the road to glory continues, Adidas strongly suggests the upcoming release of special edition boots or a dedicated 2026 World Cup Predator model that pays homage to the 1994 original.
The teaser was accompanied by images showcasing the evolution of the Predator boot from its debut to its modern iteration. This announcement builds on recent Predator re-releases and limited editions, generating anticipation for what Adidas has planned for the 2026 tournament.
