Valencia Announce Puma Kit Deal

Puma and Valencia have just confirmed that they've signed a kit deal ahead of next season, following months of speculation. The brand replaces Adidas at the helm of the Mestalla after five years.

Puma will become Valencia's official kit supplier on 1 July 2019 in a deal that will run long-term - it wasn't announced how long exactly but it's likely again a five-year agreement as with Adidas before.

As per the announcement, Puma and Valencia will work together with a strategy to promote the concept of the 'Valentia' - derived from the Roman name of the city. It's Spanish for 'brave'.

Anil Murthy, president of Valencia CF, expressed his "great satisfaction" for an agreement between two companies that are a reference for their "courage, innovation and ambition, the engines that have allowed us to achieve success against competitors a priori more powerful. In our DNA is that union between tradition and modernity, between a global vision of the future and that "Sentiment Etern" that gives us the strength to never give up and always aim for the highest, with courage and determination. With PUMA we are going to continue growing to reach more fans all over the world".

Javier Ortega, General Manager of PUMA for Southern Europe, stated, after the agreement reached: "We are very proud to be the new partners of Valencia CF, a club with a great tradition that has the best fans. Plans for the future are in place and we believe this is a great opportunity for PUMA to be part of a successful association.

Valencia join the likes of AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Olympique Marseille, and, also from next season, Manchester City FC and Girona FC in Puma's roster.

The Puma Valencia 19-20 kits are expected to be revealed in early July, once the deal officially commences.
