Nike Brings Back Iconic Barca & Juventus 2004-05 Kit Design For Sporting Gijon 19-20 Kit

Already some weeks ago, Nike released Sporting Gijón's new 2019-2020 home and away shirts. However, while the club is just playing in Spain's second division currently, they received a bespoke jersey from the Swoosh that brings back some great (kit) memories.

Sporting Gijon 2019-2020 Home Kit Features 04-05 Inspired Design

The Nike Sporting Gijon 2019-2020 home jersey features the club's traditional colors - red, white and blue. However, it does not come with the team's classic stripes but with gradient stripes.

The gradient stripes are not an all-new design - they are reminiscent of an iconic Nike design of 15 years ago that was used by two Nike top clubs in the 2004-05 season for their away uniforms - FC Barcelona & Juventus.

Sporting Gijon's 2019-20 away kit is not as classy as the home kit but also custom - it is black with pink sleeves and white logos, based on Nike's most modern template.
