FIFA 20 Loses River Plate License, Team Will be Called "Núñez"

Following similar news with Juventus earlier this year and Boca Juniors last year, FIFA 20 fans will have to do without Argentinian powerhouse River Plate.

Just like with Juventus and Boca, this is because River Plate have closed an exclusive agreement with PES 2020, which will have all three teams fully licensed including correct logos, kits and stadiums.

Unlike with Juventus, EA did not issue an official statement regarding the "River Plate situation". However, we know that River Plate will be called "Núñez" in FIFA 20, but will likely still include real-life players. Núñez is the neighborhood in Buenos Aires that River Plate's stadium is in.
