'Bayern Beckham' - Adidas To Sign Bayern Munich Target Leroy Sane?

Manchester City winger Leroy Sané could very well join FC Bayern Munich this summer. Now German sports magazine Sport Bild reports that Adidas is heavily interested in signing the German international.

"Bayern-Beckham" - Adidas Interested In Signing Leroy Sané - Nike Has Matching Right

Leroy Sané's contract with rival Nike ends in the end of July. According to the report, Adidas probably wants to present the winger as a promotional face when he is presented as Bayern Munich player.

However, it is quite unlikely that Leroy Sané's time with Nike will come to an end as Nike is said to have a clause that allows it to match any offer made by a competitor, called "Matching Right".

The "Sport Bild" reported earlier that Sané is to receive the infamous jersey number "10" in Munich. Adidas is hoping that the change of supplier will also generate more income from jersey sales, as Sané is to become the "Bayern-Beckham" according to the paper.

Although Bayern Munich President Herbert Hainer should still have good contacts with Adidas (former Adidas CEO), Nike is still considered the most likely option for Sané.

Adidas owns 8.33 percent of the shares of FC Bayern.

Puma would be also interested in signing Leroy Sane.
