Borussia Dortmund vs Schalke 04 Bundesliga Boot Preview - Football Returns
The "Revierderby", the famous German derby arch rivals Borussia Dortmund and FC Schalke 04, is on the first match match day of the German Bundesliga after the lockdown stopped football for more than two months. We take a look at the boots we will see in the big "football returns" match, in coopearation with Football Boots DB.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, all big brands did not launch new boots officially. There is a good chance that we will see Adidas' new Locality Pack on pitch this weekend in the Bundesliga as David Alaba from Bayern Munich was spotted with the Predator of the Locality Pack in training.
BVB v FC Schalke 04 - Bundesliga Boot Preview
This is the expected Borussia Dortmund Boot XI (via Football Boots DB.)
BVB's boot lineup is heavily dominated by Nike, who supply the cleats for seven of the prospected 11. Dortmund's three strikers (Haaland, Sancho and Thorgan Hazard) are all wearing the Nike Mercurial, interestingly.
Schalke's boot lineup, meanwhile, is split between Adidas and Nike.
In terms of unique and unusual boot choices, we do not expect to see anything interesting. All BVB and Schalke players have active boot contracts, meaning that there won't be blackouts or other hard to spot cleat choices.
In terms of kits, everything will be as usual. BVB will their yellow and black home kit from Puma, while FC Schalke 04 will enter the pitch in their blue Umbro home kit.
