Hamburg Plasters Unreadable 'Sponsor' Logo On Kit After End Of Emirates Deal
In late June 2020, it was revealed that German 2. Bundesliga club Hamburger SV would have to search for a new main sponsor as long-term Emirates decided to use its exit clause. Now the club returned to the pitch after the summer break wearing a special sponsor logo on their kits.
HSV Wears Special Sponsor To Promote Club Foundation
Instead of a regular sponsor, HSV wore a special sponsor to promote the club's foundation, called "Der Hamburger Weg" ("The Hamburger way"). However, instead of printing a big logo on the shirt, the club plastered a white box over the Emirates logo.
The box features way too small logos and sponsors, which made it impossible to see what's on the shirts from a little distance.
There is no info yet which brand will become Hamburg's new main shirt sponsor.
