Special Permission? 11 of 24 Teams Wear Next Season's 20-21 Kits In Champions League & Europa League Return

This season's 2019-2020 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, UEFA Women's Champions League and UEFA Youth League conclude in August. With the first matches of the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Champions League took place in the past four days, many teams already took the chance to wear their 2020-2021 kits.

Not all teams took the chance to wear their 2020-2021 kits - the likes of Barcelona and Wolves wore their 'old' 2019-20 kits despite having already revealed their 2020-21 kit, while others have yet to launch their 2020-21 jerseys.

11 of 24 teams having played so far wore their 2020-21 kits

Usually, clubs would be only able to wear kits that they already registered until August 5 2019. However, this season, everything is different and UEFA almost certainly gave teams an exception to let them wear their 2020-21 kits - we can hardly imagine that all those 2020-21 kits were registered last summer.

In total, 11 of 24 teams who have played matches so far wore next season's kit, 13 did not do so.
