2020-21 Bundesliga Kit Battle - Big Brand Diversity, Nike Leader
Germany's Bundesliga was the first big league to restart after the COVID-19 break, but is one of the last to start the 2020-21 season (together with the Serie A - this weekend). Let us see which brands will be present in the 2020-2021 Bundesliga campaign, again with the help of @plantefobal.
Bundesliga 2020-21 Kit Makers
Just as last season, Nike has the largest number of teams (5) - the teams are the same as in 2019-20 Wolfsburg, Eintracht Frankfurt, Hertha BSC, FC Augsburg and RB Leipzig.
2019-20
Adidas now supplies twice as many teams - 2 instead of 1
Behind Nike, there is a huge gap - In second place there will be a total of four companies with two teams: the German brands Adidas, Puma & Jako as well as UK brand Umbro.
10 brands make the kits for 18 teams
Five other brands are present, making it a total of 10 suppliers for 18 teams - Macron (Arminia Bielefeld), Joma (Hoffenheim), Hummel (SC Freiburg), uhlsport (FC Köln) and Kappa that once again has a club in the German elite (Mainz 05).
2020-21 Bundesliga Brand Switches:
Union Berlin Macron → Adidas
Mainz 05 Lotto → Kappa
Arminia Bielefeld Joma → Macron
