SM Caen's new 2020-21 special uniform is inspired by the shirt from 1990-91, back then made by German supplier Puma. Umbro takes the original look and adapts it slightly. In the early 90's Caen just got promoted to Ligue 1 and this season was a decisive step towards the club's only qualification for the UEFA Cup.

Inspired by the 1990-91 shirt, the Umbro SM Caen 2020-21 special jersey combines a blue bottom part with a red upper part of the body with a white horizontal line in-between. The original checker pattern moves to the right sleeve. A tonal V-neck and white sponsor logos round off the look.
