Sampdoria 20-21 Special Kit Released - Celebrating 120th Anniversary Of Parent Club Society Andrea Doria
We have kit news from the Serie A as the new Macron Sampdoria 2020-21 special kit was released today.
Continuing to honor the origins of Unione Calcio Sampdoria, Sampdoria's new 20-21 special strip remembers another predecessor that laid the foundation for today's football club: Society Andrea Doria named after a Genoese statesman that was influential during the Republic of Genoa. Sampdoria's 2020-21 special strip will be worn on Sunday against league leaders AC Milan.

Featuring a vintage look, the Macron Sampdoria 20-21 special jersey is directly inspired by the football shirt Society Andrea Doria came up with in 1900: it combines a blue with a white half with the sleeves having opposing colors as well.
White respectively blue sleeve cuffs, a very traditional lace-up collar and a centered logo add to the classy vintage appearance. There is no sponsor logo present.

Schlotterbeck Deliberately Wears His Football Socks the Wrong Way Round
Borussia Dortmund and Germany defender Nico Schlotterbeck has a very specific habit regarding his matchday attire. The centre-back deliberately wears his football socks the wrong way round - the back is on the front, and the front is on the back.
In 2025, the Borussia Dortmund & Germany center back once told SPORT1 that this was one of his unique habits.
