Many National Team Kit Supplier Switches Coming After the 2026 World Cup

  • Germany's Historic Kit Change: Germany will end its decades-long partnership with Adidas after the 2026 World Cup, signing a lucrative, long-term agreement with Nike that will take effect in 2027.
  • Multiple Teams Switch to Adidas: Croatia will notably switch from Nike to Adidas directly after the 2026 World Cup, with Poland, the Czech Republic, and Turkey also set to join Adidas as their kit supplier in 2027.
  • Chile Partners with Marathon: The Chilean national team will transition from Adidas to the Ecuadorian sportswear brand Marathon starting January 2027, with the agreement running through the end of 2030 and including performance-based incentives.

The international football landscape is set for a significant aesthetic shift following the 2026 World Cup, with several high-profile national teams having new kit supplier deals.

National Team Kit Supplier Changes

The most historic change will undoubtedly be Germany's decision to leave Adidas in favor of Nike. After a decades-long partnership with their homegrown brand, the German Football Association finalized a lucrative, long-term agreement with the American sportswear giant that will officially take effect at the start of 2027.

In a notable reversal between the two major global brands, the Croatian national team is preparing to move in the exact opposite direction. Following a long partnership with Nike that produced many of their iconic modern checkered designs, Croatia will officially switch to Adidas directly after the 2026 World Cup (August). For Croatia, we already know the designs. Poland, the Czech Republic and Turkey are also all set to switch to Adidas in 2027.

Adidas Croatia 2026-27 Kits

The wave of post-World Cup supplier changes extends to South America as well, with the Chile national team set to part ways with Adidas. Starting in January 2027, the team will officially transition to the Ecuadorian sportswear brand Marathon in a new agreement scheduled to run through the end of 2030. This strategic move sees the Chilean Football Federation partnering with a prominent regional manufacturer for the next World Cup qualification cycle, complete with performance-based financial incentives.

Germany Signs Nike Kit Deal - 2027 Until End of 2034

The Nike Germany contract will take effect from 2027. This means that Germany will last wear Adidas kits at the 2026 World Cup and then Nike kits at Euro 2028 and and future tournaments.

Croatia Signs Adidas Kit Deal

Adidas will become the new kit supplier for Croatia starting in the summer of 2026, but only after the World Cup. This deal ends the partnership between Croatia and Nike, which has lasted for more than two decades (beginning in 2000 and set to conclude in the summer of 2026), marking a significant visual shift for one of the most recognizable teams in international football.

Poland to Leave Nike For Adidas

Poland has been wearing the Swoosh since 2009, making it one of Nike's longest-standing European partnerships. However, the current contract is set to expire later this year.

Turkey to Leave Nike for Adidas After 2026 World Cup

Turkey's long-standing partnership with Nike is coming to an end. After 23 years with the American brand, the Turkish national team will switch to Adidas following the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup.

Adidas Czech Republic Kit Deal

This upcoming agreement marks the end of one of the longest-running and most recognizable supplier partnerships in global football. The Football Association of the Czech Republic has decided to part ways with its only partner ever yet, allowing the Three Stripes to successfully swoop in and secure the rights to outfit the national squad for the foreseeable future.

Marathon to Make Chile Kits From 2027

Under the terms of the new partnership, Marathon will reportedly pay the Chilean Football Federation an annual fee of 5 million USD. The contract also includes a performance-based incentive, featuring an undisclosed financial bonus if the national team successfully qualifies for the 2030 World Cup.
