What if? Classy Nike Germany 2021 Concept Home & Away Kits

What if Germany would be sponsored by Nike? Museum of Jerseys (@museumofjerseys) have created two concepts that merge two current Nike designs with classic iconic Germany kits - we have recreated them using FIFA Kit Creator.

It is the longest and most intriguing partnership of football: Adidas produces Germany's kits since 1954. Two years ago, after the unsuccessful 2018 World Cup, Adidas even extended their contract with the Germany national football team until 2026 which means that the deal will run for at least 72 years. There was a short period during the 1970s when Germany wore Erima shirts, but the brand was a subsidiary of Adidas back then.

Nevertheless, there have been rumours in the past linking one of the biggest football federations with Nike, adidas' biggest rival except for Puma. In the end, adidas prevailed and the contract was extended.

Germany 2021 Concept Home Shirt

Check out Nike's Germany 21 concept home shirt below.

Mainly white, the Nike Germany 2021 concept home jersey is inspired by the legendary 1990 base with a flag design. The design used for the kit is the same as Roma's.

A simple black crew-neck collar, black side stripes and black sleeve cuffs round off the classy appearance for Nike's debut.

The shorts are black, while the socks feature a gradient from black to white through the means of the same flag design.

Of course, this look is inspired by the jerseys Germany has worn during the 1990s when the Adidas Germany shirts stood out because of their bold appearance and the national team achieved a glorious 1990 World Cup triumph against Argentina in the final (1-0) thanks to a goal scored by Andreas Brehme.

Germany 2021 Concept Away Kit

This is the new Nike Germany concept away jersey for 20-21.

Based on Nike's 20-21 vapor template used for the LFC 20-21 home kit, the Nike Germany 2021 concept away football shirt is simply green, Germany's traditional away color, with white accents such as the V-neck, sleeve cuffs and zig-zag side stripes.

There are white logos on the chest, including a monochrome white rendition of the association logo, while a darker shade of green is implemented as trim on the sleeve cuffs and collar.

White shorts and green socks complete the Nike Germany 2021 concept away uniform.

Schlotterbeck Deliberately Wears His Football Socks the Wrong Way Round

Borussia Dortmund and Germany defender Nico Schlotterbeck has a very specific habit regarding his matchday attire. The centre-back deliberately wears his football socks the wrong way round - the back is on the front, and the front is on the back.

In 2025, the Borussia Dortmund & Germany center back once told SPORT1 that this was one of his unique habits.
