Özil's new shirt number 67 stands for the province of Zonguldak on the Black Sea, where Özil's parents once emigrated to Germany. 67 is the postal district of Ozil’s ancestral town, Zonguldak.
Turkish kit rules forbid a number to be used by two different players during a season
However, as of Turkish media reports from early January 2021, Özil will only wear the shirt number 67 for half a season - He would become Fenerbahçe's new number 10 as of next season. Why?
As of the rules of Turkey Football Federation, the jersey number that has been occupied by another player can not change during a season. For this reason, Mesut will put the number 10 jersey worn by Fenerbahçe striker Mbwana Samatta on his back next season.
Stay tuned if Özil will really switch to the No. 10 from the 2021-22 season. We could also imagine staying with the No. 10 if the numbers proves popular.

Madrid CFF 26-27 Away Kit Released
Spanish Liga F club Madrid CFF has debuted its new Nike away kit for the 26-27 season. Featuring a stealthy black base with a subtle textured chevron pattern, the jersey is highlighted by a central vertical stripe comprised of fluorescent pink bars, inside of which the club name "MADRID CFF" is inscribed in neon volt lettering. The vibrant color scheme is complemented by a volt Nike Swoosh on the right chest, a recolored pink and volt crest, and matching pink sponsor prints across the front, paired with contrasting white shorts and socks.
