The current-gen Nike Tiempo Legend 8 football boots were released in June 2019. They introduced some new features such as the Quad-Fit mesh but were rather similar to the previous generation overall.

The NG Tiempo 2021 boots look classic at first glance

In fact when looking at the next-gen Nike Tiempo 9, they remind us of classic Nike Tiempo Legend football boots with their construction and overall feel. But that is only at first glance.

They have a classic Kangaroo leather upper which is "backed by soft foam pods". Just as previous modern Tiempos, they do not have traditional stitching.

In the front area are some dots for increased ball control. In the heel area is a new trademark circular element for increased comfort in the style of the Tiempo logo.

The sole plate comes with very interesting studs. There are four rectangle studs in the heel area, while the front part comes with six conical, two rectangle, and one triangle stud.

Design-wise, the new Tiempo Legend 9 boots are very classic. They have a big Swoosh that includes the Tiempo logo on the rear part. They do not have any fancy design elements.
