Inspired by the Croatia national team and its checkered kits, the custom Nike Mercurial Vapor 14 football boots from Luka Modrić are white and red with black applications.
What makes them unique are the upper and the sole plate, which feature a red / white checker design.
Tech-wise, Luka Modrić's Nike Mercurial Vapor 14 soccer cleats are the same as standard Mercurial football boots, with one difference. Luka Modric cut the collar in the front area of the boots, as he has been doing since almost three years.
We were not able to recreate the Luka Modrić 'Croatia' Nike Mercurial football boots using Nike's customization service 'Nike By You' as the checker option was not available. It might be possible in the future, however.
