The Adidas 2021 Teamgeist collection celebrates 15 years of Adidas' 2006 World Cup campaign, called Teamgeist (German for Team Spirit).

Red-navy-white is a color scheme used by the Bavarian club in the 1990s and early 2000s. Since the late 2010s, Bayern's home kits are only allowed to feature red and white and no other colors - the rule does not include special-edition releases.
