No More Nike - Malaga to Switch to Hummel for 22-23?

After 11 eventful years with Nike, Malaga will likely be departing the American sportswear giant for Hummel. This news comes from multiple different sources.

Hummel to Replace Nike After 11 Years

Nike's time as FC Malaga's kit supplier is coming to an end this year. The American brand has outfitted Malaga since the 2011-12 season, a season in which the club managed to qualify for the Champions League.

In the subsequent campaign, the Spaniards incredibly progressed to the quarter finals, where they lost in dramatic last-minute fashion to Borussia Dortmund. In the years following this big event however, Malaga started a downward spiral that culminated in the club's relegation to Spain's second division in 2018, where they remain to this day.

Throughout this time Malaga received mainly teamwear jerseys from Nike. Starting next season, things will change however.

Hummel would certainly provide the club with fully bespoke shirts, as they do with all of their big customers.
