Real Madrid, Arsenal & More: History of Whiteout Kits

Arsenal today released a special all-white kit as part of a "No More Red", making aware of youth violence and knife crime. The North London club were not the first team to release a whiteout kit - we take a look at five all-white kits.
Before the 1970s/1980s, teams like England, Real Madrid, and Leeds already wore all-white kits. They are, however, no whiteouts - those have monochrome logos for example.
All-White Football Kits
One of the first teams to release an all-white football kit was Sporting Kansas City. The US team launched a white kit with silver logos.
In 2016, Denmark and Hummel released a whiteout kit, inspired by the concept of a blank page. Real Madrid and Adidas followed later that year with a whiteout Parley kit. For the kit, they used water-based paint in an environmentally friendly process.

Swedish club AIK, which are renowned for their great kits, launched a totally white kit with a gigantic crest in 2020.

Adidas Parley Real Madrid Kit
Obviously deriving from the iconic cleanness of Real Madrid's all-white home kits, the Adidas Parley Real Madrid kit manages to up this impression by combining a white base with subtly applied light grey logos. Those logos on the Adidas Parley Real Madrid jersey were printed onto the fabric using water-based paint in an environmental friendly process.

AIK Nike 2020 Behrens Jersey
Inspired by the club's first-ever jersey, The Nike AIK 2020 Behrens football shirt is white with a retro collar and a whiteout Nike logo. The standout feature is the big club crest on the left chest.

Treviso FBC 26-27 Third Kit Released
Italian club Treviso FBC and Erreà have officially launched the club's new third kit for the 26-27 season. Designed by Erreà Creative Lab, the kit serves as a direct tribute to the team's origins, reinterpreting the very first uniform worn by Treviso upon their founding in 1909.
The Treviso 2026-27 3rd jersey features a half-and-half look divided vertically between white and black. To emphasize its historical inspiration, the shirt includes a classic buttoned polo collar and short sleeves with simple finished cuffs. A vintage-style club crest adorned with a crown and cross is embroidered on the left chest, paired with a black Erreà logo on the right side.
FC Barcelona 26-27 Third Kit Full Look Leaked
Official images of FC Barcelona's 26-27 third kit have leaked via @memorabilia1899 and @opaleak, revealing the full look designed by Nike for the upcoming season. Taking inspiration from the memorable Kappa 1996-97 away shirt worn during Ronaldo's legendary single season at the club, the new uniform pays homage to a classic piece of Barça history.
The jersey features a teal base paired with dark navy detailing on the collar and sleeve cuffs. The front of the shirt displays a subtle tonal geometric pattern with a distinctive central vertical graphic divide. Red piping runs along the side panels to complement the navy Nike Swoosh and Spotify chest sponsor logo.
The complete kit comprises matching teal shorts with red side accents and teal socks decorated with horizontal red stripes and navy Barça lettering. Nike is scheduled to officially release the FC Barcelona 26-27 third uniform on 12 August.

Ghanaian club Accra Hearts of Oak and technical supplier The Hope Brand have revealed the new third kit for the 26-27 season.
The Accra Hearts of Oak 26-27 third jersey introduces a vibrant orange base design highlighted by a central vertical stripe in purple, red, yellow, and blue. A traditional white polo collar is finished with matching multicolored trim around the edges, while subtle oak tree motifs inspired by the club crest are embossed across the entire shirt fabric.
Orange shorts and orange socks with white cuffs and striped detailing complete the new Accra Hearts of Oak 26-27 third uniform.
AJ Auxerre 26-27 Away Kit Released
AJ Auxerre and Macron have officially launched the club's new away kit for the 26-27 season. Black continues to serve as the dominant base color for the French side's alternative uniform, maintaining a design tradition that began back in the 2021-22 campaign.
The shirt features a bold blue and white horizontal chest band, which houses the black Macron logo and the club crest. Across the front body, subtle tonal horizontal stripes in alternating black and dark grey display a repeating pattern featuring the Maltese cross and Auxerre's founding year, 1905. The kit is further detailed with a white crew-neck collar and sleeve cuffs trimmed in light blue.
On the upper back of the jersey, the club's full name, Association de la Jeunesse Auxerroise, is embroidered in white. The 26-27 away strip is completed with black shorts featuring white and blue trim and matching black socks.
Barcelona 26-27 Third Kit Official Images Leaked
Official studio images of the FC Barcelona 26-27 third kit have emerged online via Barça shirt insider @memorabilia1899, giving fans a complete look at Nike's latest design for the Catalan club. The strip is scheduled to be officially launched and available in stores on Wednesday, 12 August 2026.
The shirt features a light green base with a sharp, vertical zigzag pattern down the front that splits two distinct tones of teal. Navy blue trim accents the collar and sleeve cuffs, while subtle red piping runs along the shoulder seams. Portuguese Primeira Liga AVS Futebol SAD has officially unveiled their new home kit, produced by Adidas and will be worn in the upcoming 26-27 campaign.
The shirt is built around a white base with red vertical stripes across the shirt. The sleeves are divided into two panels of red and white, while the collar, sleeve cuffs and shoulder 3-stripes are all in vibrant yellow. The club crest is displayed in full color, whereas the adidas logo is black.

SM Caen 26-27 Home Kit Released
French Ligue 3 club Stade Malherbe Caen have unveiled their new 2026-27 home kit, made by Nike. Released under the campaign "Un maillot, 1000 expressions" ("One jersey, 1000 expressions"), the shirt celebrates the passion and emotions shared by the club's supporters.
The Nike SM Caen 2026-27 home shirt brings together the club's traditional red and blue in bold vertical stripes, with a white V-neck collar and matching sleeve cuffs adding a clean contrast. White Nike and sponsor logos complete the classic design.
