FAKE: This Is Not Mexico's World Cup 2022 Away Kit

A fake Mexico 2022 away jersey has been doing the rounds online, but Todo Sobre Camisetas have debunked it and explained where the design came from.

Fake Mexico 2022 away jersey

The shirt seen below is a fake.

As we revealed last year, Mexico’s away shirt for the 2022 World Cup is to be an off-white colour, “wonder white” being the name of the shade that will be used, with black being used as a secondary colour for logos and details.

Using this information, the jersey seen in the photo above was mocked up on an existing Adidas design, that of the Primeblue Freelift t-shirt, which is actually a shirt made for tennis.

The Freelift t-shirt pictured above is the exact “wonder white” shade that will be used for Mexico’s away kit and features a chevron design woven into the fabric, which is not dissimilar to designs used on football shirts in the 90s by Adidas.

For the fake Mexico jersey mock-up, the Adidas logo was moved from its centralised position to the right of the chest, with the nex Mexico badge placed on the left and a black number 10 positioned in the centre of the shirt.

Would this have made a good away jersey for Mexico? Let us know what you think in the comments.
