Turkish Airlines Could Become FC Barcelona's New Sleeve Sponsor

Turkish Airlines could become the new FC Barcelona sleeve sponsor, according to Mundo Deportivo's Fernando Polo.

Having closed a wide-ranging agreement with Spotify, Barcelona are yet to have presented a new sleeve sponsor following the expiration of the Beko deal last summer.

According to the report, Barcelona are in negotiations with Turkish Airlines, who are "keenly interested" in linking up with Barcelona following a two-year deal between 2010 and 2012, which curiously were the last two years of the previous mandate of club president Joan Laporta.

Barcelona want a potential deal to bring in between €10 and 15 million per season. According to a recent appearance of Laporta on the RAC1 radio, there are "up to six" companies interested. It now looks very much like Turkish Airlines are one of them.

It has to be noted that Beko paid €19 million a season, although that also included the training kits. A one-year extension was signed last summer, with Beko retaining just the training kit sponsorship in exchange of €10 million.
