Schalke Need a New Main Sponsor for Bundesliga Return & Release of Adidas 22-23 Kits - No More Umbro

German club FC Schalke 04 need a new main sponsor for the 2022-2023 season, according to various reports.

Schalke had been sponsored by Gazprom for 15 years. After the start of the Russian war against Ukraine, they ended the deal. They then signed a short-term deal with housing provider Vivawest.

Schalke Are Searching For New Main Sponsor For 2022-2023 Season

Vivawest agreed to pay Schalke about 4.5 million euros in the 2. Bundesliga until 2023. The company do not want to pay much more after the club's promotion - but Schalke want at least 8, if possible even 10 million euros from a new shirt sponsor.

Schalke hope to sell 80,000 jerseys in the 22-23 season

According to information from Bild, the ambitious search has been so far so slow that the cash-strapped club has called in a marketing agency (which receives around 7 to 15 percent commission).

Schalke 04 will switch kit suppliers from the 2022-23 season. From July 1, Schalke want to release the new 2022-2023 Adidas kits. The promoted team switches from Umbro (the contract is terminated early) to Adidas and 11teamsports, which together transfer about 3 million euros per season.

In the best case, Schalke wants to quickly clear the future main sponsor, so that its logo is also emblazoned on the new jerseys in time for July 1.

In the worst case, the promoted team will have to start the season with Vivawest on its chest and then change the entire collection later.
