Argentina 2014 vs 2022 World Cup Home Kit
Adidas finally released the Argentina 2022 World Cup home jersey a few days ago, and it immediately reminded us of the 2014 World Cup home shirt for various reasons. Let us find out what this is all about.
Back then, Argentina reached the final, but lost a close game against Germany in extra-time. The only goal of the night was scored by Mario Götze in the 113th minute.
Argentina 2022 World Cup Home Jersey Resembles 2014 Shirt
Check out both Adidas Argentina kits side by side below.
First of all both kits feature a centered light blue stripe even though the 2014 version comes with two more light blue stripes overall, which are not entirely present on the front.
Another similarity is the fact that both kits come with black accents in the form of a simple collar, the sleeve cuffs as well as the Adidas brandings on the chest and shoulders.
The biggest difference is probably the use of golden elements. Argentina's World Cup 2014 home kit features a golden side stripe, while the only golden part of the new home kit is the Sol de Mayo detail on the upper back. The side stripe still exists, but it is black this time around.
