Worst Sponsor of the 22-23 Season? Enormous Clashing Logo for Barnsley FC
After our rundown of the biggest sponsor upgrades of the 22-23 season, something on the opposite end of the scale has caught our attention in the English Championship. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that Barnsley's new sponsor has ruined their shirt.
Barnsley's Unfitting Sponsor
Barnsley's 22-23 shirts were unveiled without a sponsor and had a simple, clean look of a solid red shirt with nice cuffs and a simple but stylish round neck collar. A decent looking kit until the enormous logo of their new sponsor, shady crypto firm Hex, was plastered on the front.
Not only is it completely out of proportion with the rest of the jersey, but the pinkish-purple to orange colour gradient is completely at odds with the red base colour. It would be hard to pick a colourway that clashes more than the one they've gone for. We've already seen oversized Deutsche Telekom logos on shirts this season, could this be the start of a new trend? Let's hope not.
