Last month, Puma released a new away kit for the Italian national football team. Now this month's international matches made it much more likely that Italian Men's national team, Gli Azzurri (The Blues), will never wear it.

Italy wore the Puma 2022 home kit in their last UEFA Nations League matches against England and Hungary. While it was expected that they would wear their home kit at home against England, it was unanticipated that they would wear the home kit away against Hungary.

However, Le Azzurre, the Italian Women's national team, already wore the Puma 2022 away kit against Moldavia on September 2, 2022. So the kit was not completely needless.
