The first piece from the long anticipated Nike Liverpool x LeBron James collection dropped today in the form of a pair of LeBron 9 Low sneakers carrying the branding of both parties.

Nike Liverpool x Lebron Sneakers Released

LeBron James is a Liverpool fan and stakeholder, as well as being one of Nike's top athletes in any sport, so this collaboration was bound to happen once Liverpool signed with the Swoosh.

Last November, Liverpool chairman Tom Werner announced the plans for a collection of "seven or eight pieces" bringing the basketball star together with the club and to kick things off, Nike have chosen to apply Liverpool's crest to a pair of the LeBron 9 Low shoe with a colourway that inverts colours of the club badge.

The Liverpool crest appears on the heel and sole - underneath a transparent layer - while LeBron's signature can be found on the tongue and his logo is also on the sole. Naturally, red is the secondary colour, used for the sole and detailing on the Swoosh and tongue, with white and black trim also present. The colourway has been dubbed the "Reverse Liverpool" by some sneaker sites.
