Celtic Wear Charity Sponsor in Champions League

In today's Champions League away match against RB Leipzig, Celtic FC wore a different sponsor to the one that normally appears on their away kits. Here is the reason for the change.

Celtic Wear Charity Sponsor

Celtic could be seen wearing the logo of their charity, the Celtic FC Foundation.

The charity logo comes in a similar style to Dafabet's, reversing the colours and using black text with a white outline. From a distance, the only visible difference is the amount of writing.

The logo swap comes after Celtic's regular shirt sponsor, Dafabet, could not appear on their kit due to Germany's regulations on the matter. These state that betting companies are not allowed to feature as shirt sponsors.

A similar ban exists with alcoholic or tabacco products, not just in Germany. The betting sponsor ban has also been long debated in other large football nations such as England, but nothing has been done so far.
