Exclusive: No More Kappa - Angers to Switch to Nike
We have an exclusive bit of information from Ligue 1, as it seems SCO Angers will switch from Kappa to American brand Nike after this season.
Angers to Join Nike
Angers, who have a contract with Kappa until the end of the 2022-23 season, are looking to find a new kit supplier.
That choice will apparently fall on Nike, ending Kappa's ten years at SCO Angers. No official confirmation has come from any of the involved parties yet.
If Nike were to outfit Angers, we think the club will fall into the typical 'B-team' category. This means they will receive the standard 'B-team' template, which has many customization options in terms of colors and graphics.
Their away and/or third shirts will then likely be based on regular Nike teamwear.
Of course, under Kappa this was not the case, as the Italian brand are known for only producing bespoke designs, even for their mid-table customers.
