FC Barcelona Won't Wear Same Senyera Kit 5 Years in a Row
Barcelona get a new Senyera kit from Nike any day now. This also means an old football kit is a history.
Barcelona to Retire 2019-2020 Fourth Kit
Barcelona 19-20 vs 22-23 Fourth Kits
The 2019-2020 FC Barcelona Senyera football kit was originally thought to be worn in the 2019-20 season only, but the club did continue to wear it in the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons. It is very unusual in modern football that a kit is worn for three years.
Now, in early 2023, Barcelona and Nike are set to release a new 'Senyera' fourth kit. This means the old Senyera kit is history.
Last time ever: Barcelona wore the shirt in the 4-0 El Clásico against Real Madrid in 2022
The last time FC Barcelona wore the soon-old Senyera fourth kit was in the 4-0 El Clásico triumph against Real Madrid in the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu. This makes this kit iconic, at least for all Blaugrana fans.
We have no info on when FC Barcelona will debut the Senyera 22-23 fourth kit, but they will do so most probably in January 2023.
We will never see the Spotify logo on the old Senyera kit
What is a bit sad is that this also means that we will never see the Barcelona 2019-2020 fourth kit with the Spotify logo.
It remains to be seen how long the FC Barcelona 22-23 fourth kit will be used but we expect it to stay in the game for at least two seasons.
