We finally know that is the inspiration behind the new Jordan Paris Saint-Germain new 2022-23 fourth shirt, thanks to PSG insiders La Source Parisienne (@lasource75006).

The debut of the black and yellow Paris Saint Germain fourth jersey will be already today, in a friendly against Riyadh XI. The official launch will take place on January 23, 2023.

The Jordan PSG 2022-23 fourth football shirt takes inspiration from the view we can have of Paris at night, from space. The yellow lines represent the streets of Paris, even though Paris is lighter at night than on the kit.

Indeed, Paris is known as the 'City of Lights', making this design a fitting tribute to the city.

The origin of Paris' nickname "City of Light" dates back to the 17th century when King Louis XIV took measures to increase the city's lighting in order to improve safety and reduce crime. Today, Paris is illuminated more than most other cities, from the sparkling Eiffel Tower to the brightly lit streets and buildings.
