Mexico 2022 World Cup Prototype Away Kit Leaked
A prototype of the Mexico 2022 away kit was leaked online.
Mexico 2022 World Cup Away Kit Prototype (Old Crest ) vs Final Version (New Crest)
Adidas have initially prepared a prototype of the Mexico 2022 World Cup away jersey using Mexico's old logo, similar as done with the home kit. What is interesting is that the prototype comes with a full-color crest, whereas the new crest is recolored.
The old crest is full-color for the prototype
However, because of the federation's decision to change their badge around 2021, Adidas changed things around. They eventually released the official kit along with the new badge in early July.
It's not common to see prototype jerseys appearing in official stores even though the lead-up time for a major football kit can take up to two years. What is sure is that the design for the Mexico jersey was already finished before they officially introduced the new emblem.
Interestingly, there's been some minor voices regarding the new logo, while the overall reaction to the kit's design was mostly positive.
