Nike to Release New Shirt Template in 2024
We can confirm that a new template will replace Nike's current Dri-Fit ADV style ahead of the 24-25 season.
New Nike Template for 24-25
We have received information confirming that Nike will launch a new kit template in the summer of 2024, replacing the Dri-Fit ADV template that was introduced last year. With the next Euros taking place in summer 2024, the kit launches for Nike's international teams ahead of the competition will likely provide the first official look at the new shirt structure.
The most prominent feature of Nike's current Dri-Fit ADV template is the curved seam across the top of the chest and back. All versions of the template share this element, while some also have bow-shaped panels at the collar opening and on the upper back. Nike have used a number of collar styles with this template including round neck, v neck, polo and henley collars. There is also a specific criss-cross weave pattern on the authentic versions.
As usual, Nike's elite teams will be the first to receive the new template, while the current template will more than likely continue to be used by some smaller teams for another couple of years.
Features of New Template
The 2024 Nike template will also use a variety of collar styles, and they will be more unusual than the relatively standard options we've seen over the last couple of years. The curved seams are a defining element of the current template so we expect them to be replaced by a more regular or raglan style cut. No concrete information has emerged yet on any other specific features, although the goalkeeper version of the template could be somewhat similar to the style used by Adidas in 2020.
New Nike Template in 2024: Key Points
- New template will come into use ahead of the 24-25 season.
- Likely to be debuted at Euro 2024.
- International and Nike "elite" teams will be the first to use it.
- Variety of unusual collar styles.
- Current Dri-Fit ADV template will likely remain an option for non-elite teams when after new template comes out.

Good or Bad? Rexona Armpit Sponsorship on 2026 World Cup Referee Shirts
Update - Tuesday, June 23, 2026: Following our publication, Rexona contacted us to provide additional context on the activation.
According to Ben Curtis, Global Brand Vice President for Rexona at Unilever, the sponsorship is intended to highlight fourth officials, who "may not always be the focus of attention but are at the centre of some of football's most intense and anticipated moments," as part of Rexona's "It Won't Let You Down" campaign during the FIFA World Cup 2026. "They need to remain cool and calm under pressure - That's exactly why this partnership is such a natural fit for Rexona."
The 2026 World Cup referee shirts feature one of the most amusing and strategic sponsorship placements seen in football. Deodorant brand Rexona has their logo positioned directly under the armpits of the match officials' jerseys, creating a highly contextual advertising opportunity.
The Rexona logo remains largely hidden during regular play but becomes clearly visible whenever a referee raises their arms to signal a free kick, award a penalty, or issue a card. This placement perfectly matches the deodorant product being advertised, resulting in a memorable piece of marketing on the sport's biggest stage.
While this specific placement has caught the attention of fans during the 2026 tournament, it is not entirely unprecedented. A similar concept was previously executed in Brazil, where Avanço deodorant sponsored the armpits of Corinthians. However, Rexona's execution at a World Cup brings the clever concept to a massive global audience.
