Check Your Nuts: Sebastian Haller Custom Testicular Cancer Awareness Boots

Borussia Dortmund forward Sebastian Haller will wear a special pair of Puma Ultra Ultimate boots this weekend to raise awareness of testicular cancer.

Sebastian Haller's boots will carry a special message this weekend as his Dortmund side face Eintracht Frankfurt: "check your nuts". Haller was diagnosed with testicular cancer in summer 2022 and underwent two surgeries and chemotherapy, beating the disease and returning to action in February this year. He had the words "F*ck cancer" sewn into his boots on his return, and now via his footwear once more, he will encourage men to check themselves for irregularities and stay one step ahead.

April is testicular cancer awareness month, so Haller will be using his profile and platform as an elite athlete to spread the message of the importance of being vigilant and checking yourself for the disease. The Puma Ultra Ultimate boots he will wear are black with pink accents, with Testicular Cancer Awareness month printed on the heel above the "check your nuts" message, which incorporates a peanut emoji in place of the last word.

For their game on February 4th this year, World Cancer Day, Borussia Dortmund added a small "lump" to the centre circle in order to raise awareness of testicular cancer. Fittingly, Haller scored that day, his first competitive goal since his comeback.
