The Nike Liverpool 2023-24 home jersey has a very simple design in red with a white collar and capped white sleeve cuffs. This is a nod to the squad that revolutionized the club in 1974 and the team's 1973-1974 home kit, exactly 50 years later.
In 1974, Liverpool had a historic win in the FA Cup final against Newcastle United, where the team produced an exhibition display of total football under the final year of Bill Shankly's management. Liverpool should later win the UEFA Cup in 1975-76 and the European Cup (Champions League) in 1976–77 and 1977–78.
