No Castore: HSV Extend Adidas Kit Deal

In an unexpected development for Hamburger SV (HSV) and their loyal fans, the club have announced the extension of their long-standing partnership with global sportswear brand Adidas.

Adidas x HSV Extend Deal Until 2029 - Third-Party 11teamsports Added

The current Adidas x HSV football kit deal would have expired on June 30, 2024, and will now be replaced by a new five-year contract starting on July 1, 2024.

HSV and Adidas have been united since the 2007-08 season, establishing a remarkable 22-year partnership that symbolizes the essence of tradition and dedication. Additionally, Adidas already made the club's kits in the 1980s and 1990s.

For the first time, the deal of Adidas x HSV includes a third partner. Teamwear specialists and retailer 11teamsports will contribute their logistics, customization, personal support, and the trust they have built with Adidas.

11teamsports manage the deals of dozen of teams in Germany, including the Adidas x Schalke deal.

HSV to get bespoke kits?

There is no info on the value of the new Adidas x 11teamsports x HSV kit deal. It is also unknown if HSV will receive completely bespoke kits - we expect the team still to get custom Adidas kits, similar to Schalke.

Puma Kits Keep Ripping at the 2026 World Cup

Puma is facing significant criticism at the 2026 World Cup as multiple national team jerseys have easily ripped during matches.

Incidents involving players from Czechia, Morocco, Egypt, and Paraguay have highlighted an ongoing durability issue with the brand's latest kits - every torn shirt in the tournament so far belongs to a Puma-sponsored team.

The Puma 2026 World Cup kits incorporate the latest version of PUMA's ULTRAWEAVE “Thermoadapt” technology, which obviously is not tear-resistant enough.

The recurring wardrobe malfunctions have resulted in terrible PR for the German sportswear manufacturer and even prompted the viral resurgence of Xherdan Shaqiri's infamous quote from Euro 2016, where he joked that he hopes Puma does not produce condoms.
