Official: Atlético Madrid Return to Old Logo
Update: Confirmed - Atletico de Madrid will change their badge back to the previous one as of July 1, 2024, following a majority vote of 88.68%. 77,690 voted in total - 68,894 members voted for the logos change, 8,796 against it.
The club will take necessary steps to display the new badge on all physical and virtual media, as well as with their technical sponsor Nike. The previous badge will become a part of the club's history alongside other emblems and badges.

Atlético Members Vote For Return of Old Crest
Update: Atlético Madrid have decided to have a binding vote to choose between the current crest and the previous one. This decision was made following a consultation in which 44% of the members expressed their support for the club to consider reverting to the previous crest. Footy Headlines have a high level of confidence that the old Atlético logo will be reinstated by their members through voting.

Interestingly, Atlético will not return to the yellow-bordered logo (1970-2016). Instead, the club have created a slightly recolored version of the old logo.
The Atletico Madrid 2023 logo voting, which uses the same system as the consultation, will be open to all club members who registered before 10:00 a.m. on June 28, 2023, and will close at 2:00 p.m. on June 30. A notary will record the voting procedure and the results, and members of the Social Committee will be invited to attend the opening of the results. All members can participate via this link.
