No More Mercedes: Stuttgart Sign Winamax Kit Sponsor Deal - Kids' Kits to Feature Name of City

Update: Stuttgart today officially announced their new main sponsor, Winamax, a new sleeve partner, hep global GmbH and, for the first time, a sponsor for the training clothing of the professionals - Q-nnect AG. Winamax pay Stuttgart 6.5 million Euro/season, half as much as Mercedes-Benz did (for both the front and sleeve sponsorships).

Stuttgart 2023-24 Kits with New Sponsors

The Stuttgart 2023-2024 kits with the new sponsor are available to buy from 19 August 2023, the first Bundesliga matchday. The Kids' kits feature the name of the city, Stuttgart, instead of the French betting company.

Stuttgart to Sign Winamax Deal

VfB Stuttgart are close to finalizing a sponsorship deal with the French online poker and sports betting provider Winamax to appear on the front of their jerseys for the 2023-24 season, according to Kicker.

Winamax, boasting over seven million registered users, are expected to pay around 6.5 million euros annually to VfB Stuttgart, half of what Mercedes-Benz Bank used to contribute.

Speculation about the successor to Mercedes-Benz Bank as the sponsor has been rife, with social media buzzing with guesses. Alexander Wehrle, the board chairman, had previously teased that it would not be a Chinese betting company.

It remains to be seen how the logo will be applied to the kits, but the most likely option seems to be just the "Winamax" name, as mocked-up by us below.

In addition to Winamax joining as front-of-shirt sponsor, Stuttgart are also looking for another company to have its logo displayed on the sleeve of the jersey. The identity of this secondary sponsor is yet to be revealed and is expected to be announced in the coming days.
