What's next? Turkish League Now Allows "Side Sponsor"
The Turkish league organizers TFF have made a last minute decision regarding sponsors of kits for the 2023-24 season. Side sponsors will now be allowed, so let us take a look at what exactly happened and what it might mean in the future.
Side Sponsors Allowed in Turkey
After already permitting sponsors on the chest, back and sleeves, the TFF have announced the arrival of side sponsorships just before the start of the 2023-24 season. The exact dimensions and region are not yet known.
Potential look
It could be that this relatively new sponsor logo location (for bigger football leagues) spreads in popularity. Perhaps other similarly sized or bigger leagues will follow suit.
Over the past few years, individual sleeve sponsorships as well as back sponsorships have established themselves in more and more leagues.
Of course smaller leagues have already had sponsors allowed in the sides areas of kits, however, the shear number of other sponsors never really made this a unique location.
What do you think of this new rule in the Turkish league? Do you think more leagues will adopt the kits' sides as sponsor locations? Comment below.
