Update: The first round of voting for the Worst Football Kit of September 2023 has ended, and now it's time for the final round. It's the Albion Rovers "Subway" 23-24 away kit vs the River Plate 23-24 away kit.

The release phase for the 2023-2024 is as good as over. Last month, September 2023, brought us the last missing kit of many teams for the 23-24 season. There have been various stunners but also some not-so-good kits. But which was the worst football kit of September 2023?

Worst Football Kit of September 2023

Footy Headlines have shortlisted nine kits, and it's up to the readers to pick the ugliest of them all.

While some of our least favorite kits lack detailing and look too plain for us (e.g. Chelsea's third kit and the Hoffenheim special 'Zero Waste' jersey), one was designed with the sole purpose of getting publicity.

The Albion team name in the Subway style is too much for us

Fourth-tier club Albion Rovers from Wales have released a football kit featuring an all-over Subway design (which would be forbidden in every serious league). What we particularly do not like is that the team name 'Albion' is written in the form of the Subway text logo.

The Boca Juniors third kit, for example, is more or less a remake of an old kit, but now, due to the sponsor, the whole design looks rather like a Betsson kit.
