Never Used: 2030 World Cup Portugal - Spain - Ukraine Bid Logo Leaked

  • Logo Design: A leaked logo for the Portugal-Spain-Ukraine 2030 World Cup bid features the number '30', with each digit representing countries and the world.
  • Bid Change: Ukraine withdrew from the 2030 World Cup bid due to the war with Russia, leading to Morocco joining Spain and Portugal.
  • Logo Discarded: The leaked Portugal-Spain-Ukraine bid logo will not be used because the bidding group now includes Morocco instead of Ukraine.

The 2030 World Cup bidding group: Spain, Portugal and Ukraine have designed their own 2030 World Cup bid logo, Footy Headlines can leak. However, it will never be used because Morocco have replaced Ukraine and will continue to bid alongside Spain and Portugal for the 2030 World Cup.

2030 World Cup Portugal - Spain - Ukraine Bid Logo

The Portugal-Spain-Ukraine 2030 World Cup bid logo has the number 30 in the centerpiece, with the number 3 in three main colors: red, green and yellow, symbolizing the three countries, Spain, Portugal and Ukraine. The number 0 is the shape of the earth, representing all the countries of the world. Below the number 30 are the words 'Vamos 2030' and the names of two countries, Spain and Portugal.

The slogan Vamos is very similar to the slogan of the actual 2030 World Cup bid logo - it has the slogan "Yalla Vamos." - Yalla apparently has been added to present the Arab world, as it derives from Arabic.

The reason this logo will never be used is as simple as it is bad. Ukraine had to withdraw their bid to host the 2030 World Cup because of Russia's war against Ukraine. Morocco were certainly added to satisfy the needs of an African host, while three matches will be played in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay to satisfy the needs of South America. You could call also that procedure nepotism - it was at least intransparent.

Recently, Spain - Portugal - Morocco also announced their 2030 World Cup bid logo.

No More Jako: Adidas Chernihiv 26-27 Home Kit Released
