Real Madrid Shows No Respect to Colors

Real Madrid Wears Purple Yamamoto Fourth Kit at Home, While Athletic Wears "Madrid's" All-White Colors

Instead of playing in the classic white, Madrid chose to wear the fourth kit to promote its release. Designed by Japanese designer Yōji Yamamoto, it has a purple-and-white color scheme. The purple is rooted down in the club's history, just not in home matches.

What made the matchup really odd is that Athletic Bilbao wore its all-white away kit, which is normally synonymous with Madrid.

in 2022, Madrid lost 4-0 wearing the black Yamamoto kit at home vs Barcelona

It seems possible that Real Madrid will also wear the purple Yamamoto kit vs Barcelona on 21 April 2024 in the Santiago Bernabeu. However, in 2022, Madrid lost 4-0 wearing the black Yamamoto kit at home vs Barcelona.

Meanwhile, we also spotted that Madrid had to cover the original Y-3 logo on the shorts, as it was too big for La Liga kit regulations.
