German 2. Bundesliga club FC Schalke 04 has teamed up with Deutsche Krebshilfe (German Cancer Aid) to celebrate the charity's 50th anniversary with a limited-edition shirt. This collaboration revives a partnership that began during the 1978-79 season, when Schalke first featured Deutsche Krebshilfe on their shirts, raising awareness for cancer research.
The S04 24-25 German Cancer Aid special strip has been created with Adidas and 11teamsports. It will be worn by Schalke during its match against SpVgg Greuther Fürth on Saturday, October 26th.

The Adidas FC Schalke 2024-25 German Cancer Aid special jersey features the club's famous royal blue and white, combined with light blue and pink. Indeed, these colors represent the most common cancers in Germany—pink for breast cancer, light blue for prostate cancer, blue for bowel cancer, and white for lung cancer.
Complementing the Adidas Schalke 2024-25 German Cancer Aid special shirt are blue shorts and pink socks, with the iconic Deutsche Krebshilfe logo on the chest and Schalke’s own Schalke hilft! Foundation logo on the sleeve.

In a gracious gesture, Schalke's usual sponsors, SUN MINIMEAL and Heatrex, have given up their spots on the shirt to promote the fight against cancer. The retro Deutsche Krebshilfe logo, first used in 1978, will feature on the shirt, symbolizing a longstanding partnership between the two organizations.

A nice little detail is that the Bundesliga sleeve badge comes in monochrome colors matching the shirt - blue for the player and pink for the keeper.
A portion of the proceeds from the Adidas FC Schalke 2024-25 German Cancer Aid special shirt and accompanying merchandise, including T-shirts, bucket hats, scarves, and limited-edition art prints, will go directly to Deutsche Krebshilfe. In addition, the match-worn shirts will be auctioned for charity, further supporting cancer research.
