Uruguay Releases New Nike 2025 Kits, Men's Team to Keep 2024 Kits

  • 2025 Kit Release: Nike unveiled new 2025 kits for Uruguay, but they will only be worn by the women’s, youth, beach soccer, and futsal teams.
  • Men's Team Kit: The men's senior team will continue using their 2024 Copa América kits due to the recent Nike deal.
  • Kit Availability: The newly released Nike Uruguay kits, as well as the previous 2024 men's kits, are not available for purchase.

Nike and the Uruguayan Football Association (AUF) have officially unveiled the 2025 Uruguay National Team jerseys, but they will only used by the women’s, youth, beach soccer, and futsal teams. The men's senior team will continue wearing the 2024 Copa América kits.

The Nike Uruguay kit deal was signed just a few months ago, which did not allow Nike to make custom kits for the Uruguay national team available on a larger scale. The Uruguay 2024 Copa América kits had bespoke colors but were not available for purchase.

The AUF says that "AUF and Nike continue to work tirelessly to make Nike kits available to fans." In addition, the AUF anticipates "that at the end of 2025, the new clothing collection for La Celeste will be launched, with a view to the 2026 World Cup."

Uruguay Women’s, Youth, Beach & Futsal Teams 2025 Home Kit

The Uruguay 2025 Women’s, Youth, Beach & Futsal Teams home jersey has a standard template design. It is the Nike Challenge 5 shirt in sky blue and white, with only the AUF logo added.

Uruguay's Nike Challenge 5 teamwear football kit features a sky-blue base complemented by subtle chevrons across the body, matching side stripes, and a round collar design. Black shorts and socks complete the traditional Uruguayan look.

Uruguay Women’s, Youth, Beach & Futsal Teams 2025 Away Kit

The Uruguay 2025 Women’s, Youth, Beach & Futsal Teams away shirt uses the Nike Challenge V template in white and black.

The Nike Uruguay kits are not available to buy at all.

South Africa Debut Silver Adidas Climacool Cooling Jacket At 2026 World Cup

South Africa debuted the new Adidas Climacool cooling jacket in a striking silver colorway at the 2026 World Cup. The look evoked memories of spacesuits.

The Adidas Climacool system is engineered specifically to lower core body temperature and improve heat tolerance in hot and humid conditions - exactly the kind of environment teams face at a summer World Cup in the USA and Mexico. The system consists of three components: a cooling vest, jacket and overshoe, with the vest worn over the player's jersey containing a specialised gel that is frozen before use and slowly thaws to keep players cool as they prepare to take the pitch.

FIFA Orders Egypt to Remove 7 Stars From 2026 World Cup Kit And Change Numbers Color

FIFA has instructed the Egyptian Football Association to remove the seven stars from their 2026 World Cup kit. The stars, which represent Egypt's record seven Africa Cup of Nations victories, violate FIFA's strict equipment regulations for the tournament. Under these rules, stars displayed on national team jerseys at the World Cup are exclusively reserved for nations that have won the FIFA World Cup.

In addition to the removal of the stars, FIFA has directed Egypt to change the color of the player names and numbers on their shirts. The original design featured gold lettering, which FIFA deemed insufficient for broadcast visibility, requiring the team to switch to white text instead.
