FIFA Wants That Teams Wear Their Home Kits in 2025 Club World Cup
- FIFA Kit Regulations for 2025 Club World Cup: FIFA will prioritize teams wearing their first-choice (home) kits and ensure each team wears their first-choice kit at least once during the group stage.
- Kit Color Assignments and Priority: FIFA will inform teams of their designated kit colors a month before the tournament, with a specific priority order for kit assignments to avoid color clashes.
- Special Considerations and Contingencies: FIFA is considering color vision deficiency, dark vs. light kit contrasts and is also reviewing color assignments while also noting that some teams (Manchester City) might not feature their classic home colors.
FIFA has published its official regulations for the 2025 Club World Cup, with interesting specifications regarding kit colors and team equipment.
FIFA to Make Sure that Teams Wear Home Kits At Least Once
The governing body has confirmed its preference for teams to wear their primary home kits where possible.
According to Article 29 of the official regulations, FIFA will inform participating teams of their designated kit colors one month before the tournament begins. As per the rules, the priority is for teams to wear their first-choice colors. Of course, FIFA has implemented a clear system to handle potential color clashes.
The regulations establish a specific priority order for kit assignments, starting with Team A's outfield kit, followed by Team B's outfield kit, and then the respective goalkeeper kits. The match officials' kit color is considered last in this hierarchy.
Notably, FIFA has committed to ensuring each team gets to wear their first-choice playing kit at least once during the group stage. This marks an important consideration for club identity while maintaining practical solutions for color clashes.
FIFA will endeavor to ensure that each team wears its first-choice playing kit at least once during the group stage
In previous FIFA tournaments, it happened that teams never wore their home kit. The new rules ensure that this virtually can't happen.
The rules also include provisions for color vision deficiency, with FIFA considering dark-kit versus light-kit contrast in their color assignments. Teams must bring both their first-choice and alternative kits, including goalkeeper shirts, to every match.
All kit color assignments will be reviewed during the Match Coordination Meeting by the FIFA Match Director, with FIFA's decisions being final.
However, several Puma teams will release specific kits for the 2025 Club World Cup - those of Manchester City do apparently not feature the team's classic sky blue colors.
Do you like that we will see every team in its traditional colors at least once, except for possibly Manchester City? What do you think about these detailed kit regulations for the 2025 Club World Cup? Let us know in the comments below.
Spain 2-Star Crest Revealed: Side-by-Side Positioning
Following their victory at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Spain have earned the right to add a second star to their national team crest. The new star joins the one awarded for their 2010 triumph, marking the nation's second global title.
A detailed visual by Chuyện Áo Đấu provides a great look at the updated RFEF crest. The most important detail is the arrangement of the stars. Rather than stacking the second star above the original one, the two gold stars are positioned side-by-side directly above the traditional Spanish shield.
This side-by-side placement ensures a clean, symmetrical appearance for the crest. The updated two-star logo will become a permanent fixture on Spain's upcoming kits and apparel as they celebrate their status as two-time world champions.
