Union Berlin did not have a main shirt sponsor since the deal with Paramount+ ended at the end of the 2023-24 season. The club played with a Berlin text on its kits, as well as a special logo to advertise the club's stadium stock program. HomeToGo is the third different logo appearing on Union's kits this season.
The deal sees Union partner with a local Berlin success story - HomeToGo's headquarters are located in the city's Prenzlauer Berg district, just a few kilometers from Union's iconic Stadion An der Alten Försterei.
This sponsorship announcement comes at a significant time for Union, as the club prepares for the planned renovation of its historic stadium. HomeToGo's Co-Founder Dr Patrick Andrae specifically highlighted the timing, noting they're "celebrating this iconic stadium before its remodeling."
