Adidas Joins the #Bootsonlysummer Trend by Creating a Special F50 Adiframe Boots

  • #Bootsonlysummer Trend: People are wearing football boots with everyday clothes for fashion, especially on social media.
  • Safety Concern: Wearing standard football boots with studs on hard surfaces is dangerous due to lack of grip and risk of falls.
  • Adidas's Solution: Adidas is releasing the special F50 Adiframe boots, designed to look like classic F50 football boots but with a flat, street-safe outsole instead of studs.

The #bootsonlysummer trend has been taking over TikTok and Instagram feeds, with fashion-forward individuals and even celebrities styling football boots (FG or SG tuds included) with everyday streetwear and even high-fashion outfits. Now, Adidas is stepping into the conversation with a dedicated product: the special F50 Adiframe boots, designed to nail the look while being street-ready.

However, rocking firm ground (FG) or soft ground (SG) football boots on concrete or other hard urban surfaces isn't just a fashion statement; it can be quite hazardous. The studs offer little to no grip on such terrain, leading to a high risk of slips and falls, not to mention rapid wear and tear on the studs themselves.

Adidas F50 Adiframe Boots - Shock Pink/Bold Green/Silver Metallic

Addressing both the trend and the safety concerns, Adidas has cleverly introduced the F50 Adiframe. This special edition shoe directly taps into the #bootsonlysummer aesthetic but is engineered for everyday wear.

The design of the special F50 Adiframe shoe is a direct homage to the iconic Adidas F50.6 Tunit from 2006, a boot celebrated for its futuristic look and customizable Tunit system.

The crucial difference lies in the sole. Instead of football studs, the F50 Adiframe features a purpose-built outsole. This outsole appears to be made from a durable rubber or hard plastic compound, completely encasing what would traditionally be the stud plate. This provides a flat, stable surface suitable for walking on streets, concrete, and other urban environments, eliminating the slip hazard of FG/SG studs.

There is no exact information on the Adidas F50 Adiframe release shoe yet, but it is likely to be released soon.

What do you think of Adidas creating a street-safe version of a classic F50 for the #bootsonlysummer trend? Will you be copping the F50 Adiframe? Let us know in the comments below.
